Russell defines the company’s vision and strategic direction and sits on the Voltwise board of directors. His extensive career includes leadership roles in both energy companies and investment advisory firms. Most recently, he was CEO of NEO Energy, which grew five-fold under his tenure to become the UK’s fifth largest oil & gas producer. Previously, Russell led global Finance and M&A teams at Equinor and Centrica, executing transactions worth more than $25 billion to build and finance businesses across the broad energy sector value chain. Earlier in Russell’s career he spent 12 years in investment banking and management consulting with Merrill Lynch, McKinsey, Morgan Stanley and HSBC. Russell is also a qualified Chartered Accountant.
